Some changes are afoot at Harvard! This summer, the Freshman Dean’s Office - the office that held FOP since our inception - was merged with other student affairs offices to create the Dean of Students Office (DSO). Within the DSO we created the Experiential Learning Center, which has the mission of facilitating personally transformative experiences for as many students as possible. FOP will be a signature program of the new Center, which will also include other outdoor educational opportunities as well as other, reflection-oriented programming.

The Steering Committee of the First-Year Outdoor Program is delighted to announce the 2018 training trip leaders. We are excited about their desire to guide and mentor our newly selected leader trainees as they continue their training process. This year, Steering Committee plans on sending out six backpacking training trips and two switch-canoe training trips.
