Basecamp Info

Basecamp is the real star of FOP. They are responsible for monitoring the physical safety of all trips. This means evacuating participants and resupplying trips with proper equipment. There are two paid opportunities for basecamp- one in late May for our Training Trips and one in late August for our various FOP Trips. Currently, we are accepting applications for our August 2025 FOPTrips. More information is detailed below:

  • Basecamp is a PAID position with FREE room and board.
  • Basecamp runs from Wednesday, August 18 - Monday, August 25.
  • Basecamp is paid $75/day, and in order to be paid for FOP basecamp, folks must work at least 2 consecutive days.
  • Basecamp has two locations: one in Vermont and one in New Hampshire. Both basecamps will stay in AirBnbs.
