Hey everyone! My name is Ian (he/him) and I’m a sophomore in Kirkland House studying Social Studies. So excited for FOP this coming year with SC, LC, and FOPpers. I love FOP. I think FOP is truly the best way to start your college experience. It sounds challenging, and it is. I had never camped before in my life! But the friends and memories you make last a lifetime. I will always remember TSMMC, ‘How many cows died,’ and Lizzy for a reason. Sarah and I have the same fav trail song, for a reason (ever play wavelength?). Even more rewarding is the experience of leading a FOP trip. If you’re not scared of a little trail spice, eating salami and jelly tortillas for lunch (allergy/dietary friendly options provided), convos under the stars, and comprehensive training for leaders, then FOP is the program for you. You can do it! See you on the trail.
