Emily is better known to FOP as Quigs, and she comes from the mountain-less but gator-filled swamps of South Florida. As much as Florida gets a bad rap, she will defend it until the mangroves and manatees are fully swallowed by sinkholes, so don’t @ her.
Quigs has a B.S. from Tufts University, and came to Harvard from the National Outdoor Leadership School based in Lander, Wyoming. She is passionate about providing growth-oriented experiences to students and using the outdoors as a medium for community-building. When she’s not talking about creating more equitable education systems using experiential learning, she’s usually spending time with friends or slowly working on her goals of roadtripping to every state in the US and hiking all of the 4,000 foot peaks in New Hampshire’s White Mountains.
Come talk to her in her office in the SOCH (which she also defends shamelessly), the FOP Equipment Room, or FOP’s Office in Matthews Hall!
